Car History Check
Car History Check is a service that is available to all SIMI members. It gathers information from official sources and allows the dealer to check the history of a vehicle. When purchasing a vehicle you should ask for a Car History Check certificate, these are printed with information directly from the system.
A dealer can check if a vehicle has the following data:
- Outstanding Finance.
- Import Information.
- UK Data – Stole, Scrapped, Written Off`.
- Number of previous owners.
- If a vehicle was ever a Hackney/Taxi.
- NCT Data.
