Official statistics released today by the Society of the Irish Motor Industry (SIMI) show that the total new car registrations for the month of August were up 3.5% (5,932) when compared to August 2017 (5,729). Registrations year to date are down 3.8% (119,937) on the same period last year (124,651).

On Monday 10th and Tuesday 11th of September, the School Summit will take place in the National Show Centre, Swords, Co. Dublin from 10.30am-14.30pm. Students from around the country will have an opportunity to learn about future careers choices and SIMI will be in attendance on behalf of the Motor Industry.

SIMI members in the Vehicle Body Repair Sector, in Carlow, Cork, Dublin, Galway and Meath are currently seeking to recruit Apprentice Vehicle Body Repair Specialists for a rewarding career in the motor industry.
